Take the stairs to the upper floor and the bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom is fitted with a king size bed and enjoys an en suite shower room. The guest bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds that store one underneath the other. This bedroom has use of the guest bathroom fitted with a bath and overhead shower fitting. Alhaurin el Grande is a large town in the Guadalhorce Valley found on the northern slope of Sierra de Mijas.

The serene Alhaurin mountains are always in view and offer a wonderful backdrop to this inland area. The town is full of narrow, white washed road brimming with tapas bars, restaurants and shops and has a large main street running through the middle of the town with shops, banks, restaurants and bars. This area is fantastic for anyone loving the outdoor life and there are many trails to hike and explore.

This traditional town is a great escape from the large tourist resorts on the Costa del Sol and has a large expat as well as Spanish population. Alhaurin el Grande is rich in history and dates back to as early as Phoenician times with Roman and Greek influences.

From Alhaurin you can head back to the coast and enjoy the beaches of La Cala de Mijas or Fuengirola. There is a golf course only a few kilometres away and if you want to explore inland Spain some more, there is good access road to head off into the sunset.
